Scuba Diving

The Lycian coast has been classified by the diving media as having some of the clearest waters in the world.

Kalkan Bay is "closed" to diving owing to the presence of many ancient wrecks, but the Kalkan Dive Centre which is based at the Kalamar Beach Club can arrange tuition and escorted dives to nearby sites.

You’ll also find well equipped diving clubs in Kaş, about 20 km east of Kalkan.

As a beginner, you can obtain a PADI or CMAS international certificate after a seven day course. More experienced divers can explore cave and wreck sites.

Although you are free to bring your own equipment most provide excellent equipment for as many as fifteen divers at one time.

Scuba diving is infectious and it’s easy to learn in only a few days. Try something new!
