Kaş is the place to
try this sport. It is reputed to
be the best flying site in Europe, if not in the world, with excellent local atmospheric conditions for
paragliding.
A paragliding flight over Kas is that very special treat
that is never to be forgotten. Tandem paragliding puts you in the hot seat
and leaves the technicalities of flying in the hands of a competent pilot.
As a passenger you
will have a short briefing and then take to the air with an experienced
pilot. No previous paragliding experience is necessary.
You'll need to take
pair of trainers or boots, camera or video, a bottle of water and
comfortable clothing. Flying suits are provided.
The flight lasts
between 25 and 60 minutes depending on thermal air currents.
The take-off point is
about 1000m from the ground, near the summit of Mount Asaz, but all you have to do is enjoy the flight and
admire the scenery.
Your flight will usually take you over the mountain's ridges, out over to
the sea for a view of the Greek island of Meis and then to a gentle landing
in the harbour. |
